2019 Subaru WRX – Install & calibration

2019 Subaru WRX – Install & calibration

Its been a busy week of Subarus coming steady in the shop for calibration or installations of aftermarket parts. This vehicle was one of the last cars we worked on before the COVID19 pandemic hit the world.
Apart from another subaru, this one was also another military personnel that we had a pleasure in working with. His car was going to be involved in a car show that was going to be held at NOLA Motorsports, but because of the pandemic that was also canceled.
In any case parts came in for the install, so we proceeded to do the install on them as scheduled.

Here is the list of items that were installed on this vehicle:
Nameless CBE / Grimmspeed Jpipe & EBCS / Torque Solution EGR kit
IAG AOS & TGV full kit / Cobb Accessport v3 / KillerB header / GFB BOV

Torque Solution EGR delete kit
IAG Full TGV delete kit & seals
IAG TGV Ful delete kit vs OEM
Out with the OEM header and exhaust components
Killer B Motorsports Header
Killer B vs OEM
OEM 2port ebcs vs Grimmspeed 3port ebcs
GFB BOV
OEM vs GFB BOV
Nameless Performance CBE
Nameless Performance vs OEM
Grimmspeed Jpipe vs OEM

One major lesson that we found out on this install and calibration was that when ever you going to do this you better set aside some money for a good TMIC if not the power in the back end is not going to be available.
Another take away is that the Killer B header really shine and was able to bring the engine to full boost way sooner and low end torque was really elevated because of it.
Will post dyno charts when I get back to the shop to extract them from the dyno

2005 Saabaru – Test

Posted this vehicle since I have to say this was the first time us coming across something like this.  Client showed up to have us look the car and engine over to see about some fluid leaks it was having and also do a test on the dyno dynamics AWD.

Needless to say that the stock clutch that was on the Saab Aero 9-2X did not pass the test of making a single pull.  I guess now our first order of business is to get a new stage2 clutch kit in there.

Here are the pictures of this unicorn.

More pics to follow once the new clutch is in and broken in.

Panama tuning 1/14/15 – Race Qualifiying

Waking up early on Saturday morning we gathered the troops loaded up the 2 Nissan Titan trucks and headed to Las Mendozas in Chorrera where the track is located. Its a 4hr journey from Las Tablas to the race track.  Needed to fuel up the trucks and our stomachs so we stopped in this very modern gas station.  This style of new gas stations remind me of the petrol station that can be found Portugal.

2015 WRX Impreza Tuning on APv3

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGENY_qQLDs

Tuned our first #subaru #wrx #impreza on #cobb #accessport #cobbtuning
Just with the OTS stage 1 map was considerable driving improvements over the OEM calibration.
Mods on the car was only a Mishimoto intake.

Baseline was 221awhp and best run on the day of tuning was 246awhp at 19psi tapering to 14psi.

Was very please with the rendering of this tune and so was the client. Soon he will be installing a exhaust and downpipe to accompany this.
