2016 Subaru STi build – Short block and goodies

2016 Subaru STi build – Short block and goodies

One of our good clients had a mishap on 2016 Subaru STi, yeah you all know the infamous ringland failure due to the crummy OEM oil pick up. So he did not waste time in going for something better that will give his AutoX duty vehicle the piece of mind.  In comes the short block from IAG, and a plethora of performance parts to take advantage of this wonderful robust short block.

Parts on this build include great performance names such as:

Fuel Injector Development 1300cc / Tomioka Racing GTX2971R / Radium Engineering FPR / Gates Racing belt
Mishimoto Rad. cap / KillerB Motorsports oil pick up & windage / IAG Short block, TGV Delete kit, Fuel rails & spacers / Torque Solution Fuel Line kit / Cometic Headgaskets / OEM gasket kit, oil pump & water pump / Grimmspeed TMIC coupler kit / ACT Heavy Duty Street Clutch.

I am sure I am forgetting something but nevertheless I will add it later.  So on to the pictures of the parts of this build which should keep the client busy for some time.

2015 Subaru WRX – Install and Calibration

Received this 2015 Subaru WRX that the client wanted to add some items to take the vehicle to stage2 status.
Client dropped it off to install a Invidia JPipe, Mishimoto Intake, Torque Solution EGR delete kit and finally a Cobb Tuning Accessport.

Here are the pics from the installation of the Jpipe and Intake as we are waiting for the EGR delete kit to arrive this week from the distributor.

The JPipe was a PITA as always one runs a chance of stripping or breaking one of the bolts that hold the oem JPipe to the turbo.

Cobb Tuning Accessport has been added to the mix and car is loaded on the rollers awaiting the EGR delete kit to arrive and then tuning session will begin.

2013 Subaru BRZ – Turbo install & Calibration

As always first thanks be to God for giving us the opportunity to do this and help the local car enthusiast achieve their goals.  This time around thanks to a previous client Vu with the white CivicSi for recommending us his friend.
We got this BRZ and the client brought all the necessary items to make this install happen in a short turn around time frame. Tech got the car in a few days we had the car up on the lift and the JDLv2 turbo kit was making its way into the engine bay.

After we got to this stage we had to wait a few days for the Mishimoto slim fans to arrive.  Once the fans arrived it took a few hrs to install them and then the calibration process began with the EcuTek software suite.  The process of calibration was done on a nice vacant hwy and the engine was dialed in to gate pressure on the kit.  All I can say is was so stoked to see the smile on the face of the client as he drove around in his newly transformed vehicle.
